I also forgot to make my parents take my height and weight stats this month, so I'll just say I'm a little taller with an even cuter chubbier belly to tickle this month!
Some fun things I know for sure I learned how to do over the last month were pointing - at everything. Outside, toys, Mom, Dad, strangers in the mall... doesn't matter! Since I'm so friendly and smile at everyone I get caught pointing, staring and grinning a whole lot but no one seems to mind much. I also mastered a fake laugh that I definitely knew how to time appropriately to one of Mom's attempts to sing or Dad's corny jokes. He-he-he-he courtesy laughing... that's all I would do for about a week.
Hey Uncle Neal, look at that over there!!
I'm loving all this new yummy food Mom is giving me and I'm definitely preferring things I can pick up and feed myself to purees. Mom picked up on this when I started to make raspberries - with food still in my mouth - if I didn't have anything to chew on. After a few meal times of her needing to change clothes instead of me, she caught on and added some raisins and made these yummy all veggie muffins to my tray at meal time to keep my satisfied between bites of purees! (the muffins made with baby oatmeal but Dad likes to eat them too - not cool Dad)
Since I love my Mom so much, I decided to do her a solid and start taking some longer naps lately. Sometimes I go down for a whole hour in the morning now, and if I'm feeling REALLY nice then....wait for it.... 1 1/2 to 2 hours in the afternoon!!!!!! Mom looks different lately because she's able to put on this stuff called make up more often now and fix her hair sometimes too. You're welcome Dad.
I'm just as curious as ever and will roll across the floor in two seconds flat to find something super interesting to play with like a shoe or leaf that didn't get swept up. Lucky for Mom with all that free time while I nap now, she gets to clean the floor every day so there's less junk for me to put in my mouth!
Reading is probably my #1 favorite thing to do. If someone puts the book away before I'm done reading it for the 15th time, I'm not a happy camper. I just love to flip through all the pages, point at the cool stuff I see, then start all over again. Peek a boo is really fun too. At night when they're putting me down for bed, I'll pull the blanket over my face and pop it off real quick to play peek a boo on my own now!
I haven't started crawling or pulling up on things yet. My Mom tries to get me to sit on my knees and get me used to the position, but whenever she tries I lock my legs up tight and do some downward facing dog yoga poses instead...
This month was Mom's birthday, she turned 29!!!
