Oh my, what a fun summer so far! I have been having so much fun learning new things and playing outdoors that I have neglected blogging! So, I'm going to combine my ninth and tenth month updates for everyone...
I'm TEN months old!
Dad has his birthday May 12, love you Daddy!!
We also celebrated Mothers Day in May..
Waving hiiii!
My biggest accomplishment the last two months is crawling!! I"m going everywhere now! I like to do things my own way though, so I have my own version of crawling which is best described as "army crawling". I basically drag around my body around by just moving my arms, I haven't quite figured out bending my knees to help me move, but my crawling is great for developing shoulder muscles! :) I will occasionally get up on my hands and knees and rock a little, but its easier to get around my way.
I'm still working on sign language and my new "tricks" the last two months are waving hi and bye, "all done" after meals, giving kisses (lean my cheek in toward Mom or Dad to let them kiss me), point out where my Dad and the doggy are (not Mom yet consistently), high five, and raise the roof (apparently this is a silly move from the 90's my Dad is embarrassed my Mom taught me, but I love doing it when I'm excited!).

Kisses for my baby :)
I usually get to feed myself dinner, about half of lunch and every now and then a little bit of fruit at breakfast. I'm usually pretty lazy for that first meal and prefer to be spoon fed. For about a week I HATED all my purees, so Mom worked to make new food I could eat myself, then I realized how much work that was and wanted to be fed with a spoon again most of the time. Mom likes to make me food though so it was okay to change my mind. I LOVE raisins and bananas. Certain foods I will only eat as purees like peas or sweet potatoes, and some foods I only eat as chunks like avocado or green beans. Picky, picky!
I don't see what the big deal is about Mom letting me feed myself with a spoon...
yummy Mum Mums!
I love the baby muffins my Mom makes for me (Dad loves them too...)
I'm definitely playing with my toys purposefully now, I know that putting the balls in my helicopter makes the music go, or what buttons to press to turn things on now. Play time is so much fun and I have a few favorite toys, but I get excited at most anything that lights up or sings songs. My absolutely favorite "toy" is still a book. I get to play in my pack n play a little bit each day while Mom cooks and I will always go to my book first and read almost the whole time!
I'm a hoarder.
MOM! Don't interrupt my phone calls!
When Mom reads with me I like to flip through and read to myself, but if I want Mom to talk about whats on stage then I'll lean back and put my hand in her cheek. I love my books with pictures of babies and I'll always lean in and give them kisses.
One day on the changing table I did a little dance where I waved my arms and shook my head around, and my Mom laughed so hard I started doing it ALL the time! I get a much better reaction than trying to roll over on the changing table so its my new go to move.
I really like to stand up, but have no interest in pulling myself up or attempting to walk. My mom tries to move my legs and show me how to bend my knees, but I lock them up and want to just hang out where I am.
I got my third and fourth tooth - my top two teeth - at the same time. That was a REAL fun week for me and Mom. I think we only left the house a few times because I was not a happy camper. It hurt to eat so I would cry, then I'd cry because I didn't eat enough, then I'd keep crying because I was so tired... I even cried in my sleep at night. But whew! That's all over for now anyway, only like 20 more teeth to go!!
Ouch!
Brushing my teeth!
There were tons of storms the last few months and one had about 10 different tornados all around DFW! So Mom and I spent one afternoon all bundled up under my mattress and every blanket/pillow/cushion Mom could drag out. I just decided to sleep through all the thunder and hail....
We took a trip to Houston right after nine months and got to hang out with Brooks again andfinally meet Lidia and my newest future Diamond Darling friend, Samantha!
Miss Amanda
I got to meet Miss Arlene on our trip too!!
I also had lots more play dates this month with my friends like Claire, Scarlett, Charlotte, Laine, Ava and my newest little friend Everlee. Mom doesn't remember to get pictures of all the times I hang out with the girls, I'm usually enough of a handful for her :)

Me, Mommy, Miss Emily and Charlotte
Claire, Scarlett and Miss Jessica
Claire and I went to the Ft Worth Botanic Gardens and fed the koi fish
Other than that week I'm usually all smiles, giggles and always have my pointer finger pointed at everything new I can't wait to learn about!
Love y'all!
